It’s time to get your kilts ready for another weekend of fun, games and pipe bands. The Las Vegas Celtic Society and other supporters will be putting together another event full of festivities for adults and kids. There will be a pipe band competition, drum major competition, music, live bands, traditional Celtic food and clothing (worn by attendees and participants), whiskey tastings, Scottish and Irish beers, a parade of Scottish clans, heavy athletic competitions as well as Scottish dance competitions. Here are some pictures from previous year’s games at Floyd Lamb State Park.

So bring yourself, your family and your significant other for 1 or 2 days of entertainment and excitement. These two days can prepare you towards embracing different aspects of Scottish and Celtic culture, or just prepare you for other highland festivals around the United States and other parts of the world. It looks like the Wicked Tinkers band will be performing during the festival. I suggest you bring a blanket or tarp to spread out on the grass to sit or lay on while enjoying the bands and activities.
