The Bulleit 95 Rye Whiskey has a spicy but smooth bite. It starts off peppery on the tongue and it slowly dissipates to a tingly flavor of honey, cloves and cinnamon. On the initial nose I sensed a sweet aroma of pumpkin pie and the spices associated with that dessert – nutmeg, cinnamon, and a hint of honey. The spicy-peppery bite is common with rye whiskies; the peppery bite can be overpowering to some taste buds so I suggest you take it easy.
The Bulleit 95 Rye Whiskey can be savored neat but I would suggest adding some ginger ale and ice. Since the ginger ale has its own bite, it is prefect to pair up with the Bulleit Rye whiskey. Even though I prefer it with ice and ginger ale, I think that most of my readers would go for Bulleit Rye straight or with a little ice. Either way, Bulleit Rye Whiskey can be easy to drink depending on the level of drinker. The bite in the Rye provides excitement and jazz.
Bulleit 95 Rye Whiskey is a product of the Bulleit Distilling Company which is located in Lawrenceburg, IN. The distilling company was created on the ideas and passion of Augustus Bulleit. Supposedly, Augustus Bulleit vanished when he was transporting barrels of bourbon between Kentucky and New Orleans, Louisiana. Even though I am a fan of regular bourbon whiskey, I have found that even I can learn to enjoy a different whiskey. You must always keep your mind and taste buds open and be prepared to try something different…even if it is rye whiskey.
The tasting notes for Bulleit 95 Rye Whiskey are as follows:

Nose-aroma: Like pumpkin pie; nutmeg, cloves, honey, cinnamon, honey and complexities
Taste-palate: Spicy-peppery, toffee, faint caramel flavor: fiery bite on the tongue which lingers for a while and then disappears.
