Our tastings notes of Jameson Caskmates are as follows:
Nose: Rich chocolaty, almost cocoa flavor; the flavor is overwhelming crisp, sharp apple aroma. The aroma takes me to a farmer’s market where ripe, rich fruits are being marketed. A juicy orange lingers in the background waiting to burst open with flavor. The vision of a couple running through a wheat field and those lovely aroma’s harvest wheat comes through.
Taste: The vision of a pub comes through as you prepare to take that first sip of stout. The richness of the cocoa and chocolate flavor caresses the tongue. The whiskey has a “chewiness” and a thick mouthful of rich flavors. The “chewiness” is the combination of Jameson Irish whiskey and the stout beer barrels.
Finish: Long and sweet with Milk Chocolate, toffee, and a hint of butterscotch, or it could be caramel.
