Laphroaig Triple Wood Scotch Whisky and Victor Sinclair 55 Series Red Corojo

November 1, 2015 by whiskey Leave a Comment

The Laphroaig Triple Wood Scotch whisky and Victor Sinclair 55 Red Corojo cigar pair up well and complement each other’s flavor.  The Laphroaig Triple Wood Scotch whisky has a rich blend of flavors that come from being matured in former bourbon barrels.  The combination of the Laphroaig peaty flavor and the slight sherry notes helps balance out the Victor Sinclair Red Corojo cigar.

The Victor Sinclair 55 Red Series cigar has a medium-mild flavor and it demonstrates an even, steady burn. The Red Corojo seems like a tightly-wrapped cigar based on the ash length on the cigar end.  The cigar has a clean and even burn.   It has a slightly nutty, sherry flavor.  In combination with the Laphroaig Triple Wood, the Victor Sinclair 55 Red Corojo cigar creates a pleasurable but robust flavor. The whisky and the cigar provide an enjoyable and satisfying experience. They give the body a feel-good moment, something to enjoy and relish while you chill out on the patio.

What did you think when you paired the Laphroaig Triple Wood and the VC 55 Red Corojo cigar?
