The Irish Martini Cocktail is similar to an Irish Coffee minus the coffee. The coffee excluded from the recipe to give other drinkers a sophisticated experience. Stay consistent with Irish ingredients by using Bailey’s Irish Cream and creating a refreshing drink.
The spice flavor of the cinnamon stick and the cinnamon sugar could help curb blood sugar elevation. In addition, the cinnamon stick can be lightly chewed to release additional spice.
The cinnamon spice can help offset the creamy sweetness of the cream. As well as using cinnamon to offset the cocktail flavor, the cinnamon sugar creates a balance between sweet and savory.
A traditional four-ounce martini glass will be good for this recipe; however, you would double the ingredients if you have a 6-8-ounce Martini or coupe glass. Also, you can substitute the cinnamon sugar with grated semi-sweet or dark chocolate as a topping. Whatever you decide to do can evolve from an experiment into a masterpiece.
The Martini is warming due to the Irish whiskey. An Irish whiskey Martini is decadent, rich, and lovely in flavor and smoothness. Also, this is an excellent martini when friends visit or sit outside cooking smores over a campfire.
Irish whiskey suggestions
Since Irish whiskey is used for the cocktail, I suggest experimenting with the different brands to see which suits your palate. Eventually, you will develop your own Irish Martini cocktail to share with friends and companions.
The Irish Martini can have many additives to enhance the flavor, but you must use Irish whiskey as the primary spirit. You can choose Irish whiskey from Jameson, Bushmills, Teeling, Tullamore Dew, Powers, 2 Gingers, or any you like. The cocktail in this recipe uses Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey.
The Martini is a recreation of The Ultimate Little Martini Book by Ray Foley.
