The Whiskey Licker Bar located on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada is a free-spirited and happy-to-be location. The Whiskey Licker Bar is a part of Binion’s Casino and the bar is known for its “Liquor in the Front, Poker in the Rear” signage. It’s one of several locations on Fremont Street where you can view bands playing. The Whiskey Licker is an ideal location for any whiskey aficionado ready to try out a new cocktail.
As you sip the whiskey or whiskey cocktail you just picked up from Whiskey Licker’s, you can admire the people under the neon light show or a band playing near the bar. There was a band playing on the night of the Aug 29, 2015 but I was more interested in checking out the bar and seeing what type of refreshing and cooling cocktail I could sample. The temperature was a very warm 89 degrees and I chatted with the bartender to see what he could make with the Birddog
Peach Flavored Whiskey. He produced a tropical whiskey concoction that was well balanced with whiskey, pineapple juice and lemon-lime and plenty of fruit goodness.
As I savored the thirst-quenching beverage, I passed the time people watching – the best form of entertainment on Fremont Street! I took a few pictures to include in the blog and the bartender was happy to allow me to take a picture of the whiskey bottle sitting next to my cocktail. I will have to experiment with recreating this drink. It was a little potent but good. I recommend liaising with the bartenders at the Whiskey Licker bar to see what other whiskey cocktails they can devise.
