Wolfhound Irish Whiskey Review

August 15, 2015 by whiskey Leave a Comment

Wolfhound Irish whiskey is a product of the Cooley Distillery.  According to the bottle label it’s “crafted from fine Irish malt and grain by the master distiller of Wolfhound Irish whiskey” and is “the gentle giant of Irish whiskey”. This is a smooth and inviting Irish whiskey of a high caliber considering the price.  The low price of this whiskey could put you off but you should taste the product.

You can pick-up a bottle from Total Wines for $19.00.  This is a smooth Irish whiskey that I would recommend to anyone who is starting to drink Irish whiskey.  As you develop a taste for Irish whiskey, you can look into more of our recommendations.

Color: Pale Gold

Nose:  Mild and smooth with a sweet aroma; the aroma is like a creamy honey

Taste/Palate:  Malty mouthful with a honey to vanilla flavor; slightly spicy

Finish:  Smooth with a mild spicy edge along the tongue
